Story
My name is Kyle Torres, and I am the founder of K2 E Performance Bikes LLC. This is our story.
I started riding dirt bikes 20 years ago and was instantly hooked on the thrill, speed, and excitement of being outdoors. My first bike was a KTM, which I immediately began modifying for more power and performance. From there, I kept upgrading—buying bigger and better bikes, fine-tuning them, and pushing their limits.
Around 2019, I came across Surron electric bikes and was intrigued. Shortly after, I purchased my first Surron, and for many reasons, I was hooked. By 2022, I was deep into the world of electric performance bikes—buying Surrons and Talarias and modifying them with custom graphics kits, carbon fiber fenders, underglow kits, KKE rims, Pirelli tires, titanium screws, and high-performance upgrades. I experimented with dual chain-driven motors, bypassed BMS systems in batteries, upgraded controllers, doubled battery outputs, and enhanced engines.
If there was a way to push these bikes further, I did it. I built some incredible machines and had an amazing time riding and perfecting them.
In early 2024, after thorough research, I purchased a bike for $3,200 from an unverified source, excited to receive it. However, I soon started receiving emails demanding additional fees to avoid delays. After making three extra payments and enduring multiple delays, I had spent a total of $5,000. Despite my repeated attempts to contact the vendor, I eventually received a disturbing email.
The message was from a scammer who took pleasure in stealing my money, mocking me and saying, "How does it feel to lick your wounds after being scammed?" I was furious, betrayed, and determined never to let this happen again—not to me or anyone else. Over the years, I overpaid for bikes, got scammed by dishonest vendors, and handled all my upgrades myself.
That experience led me to connect with the Talaria Boys and several verified sources. I learned about motor conversions, worked with experts to upgrade hall sensors to encoders, and built strong relationships with some of the top names in the industry. Eventually, I became a wholesaler, securing the best pricing available. Instead of opening a large retail store, I opted for a warehouse model—passing those savings directly to my clients.
